SALATKA JARZYNOWA — Lisa Panitz

SALATKA JARZYNOWA – A mix of pattern created out of photos of a polish potato salad.

The polish potato salad is a traditional dish, consisting of peas, hard boiled eggs, pickled cucumbers, carrots, onions, potatoes, always cut into small cubes and seasoned with mayonnaise, salt and pepper. What makes this salad so special? It’s not the salad itself, it’s the way people decorate it. You can find pigs, fishes, snakes, faces, snowmans, flowers and even a turtle made out of the ingredients.

To celebrate this creativity I used the images of the highly decorated salads to develop decorative images by myself. Exploring the visual quality of patterns, forms and colors I designed different media all with a stunning visual impact.
