100 days, 100 posters — under this motto, around 50 students from Dortmund and Cairo (Prof. Markus Lange) explored the possibilities of poster design for a semester. For them, 100 Poster Battle meant creating a new poster every day, inspired by current events and societal discussions. The goal of the project is for students to experiment with various techniques and expressions, pushing the boundaries of design. Emphasis was placed on the topics of tourism and gentrification, which all students had to address. This led to an exchange of ideas, perspectives, and designs.

The results were already displayed in Lisbon and Dortmund and are now showcased prominently in the Neue Sammlung, next to the display case at the entrance of the design tour. The presentation features a selection of 108 posters hanging from textile banners, curated by the students themselves. The invitation to the exhibition is presented in the context of the large spatial installation „Paula Scher – Type is Image,“ which has been on display at the Neue Sammlung – The Design Museum since June.
