The leporello focuses on the sibling relationship between Frederike and her brother Jonathan, who died suddenly in August 2023. The photo book depicts their life together using childhood photos from the late 1990s and early 2000s. They were supplemented by current photos from the 2010s and 2020s. These photos were selected from family albums and arranged in collage form, focusing on emotions rather than chronology. The shape of the fanfold mirrors a timeline. The creative overlapping of the pictures symbolizes loss and creates new connections, which was both painful and meaningful for the creator. The photo book offers the viewer room for their own interpretations and emotional connections by addressing the loss and memories of the siblings.
